Tempered glass protectors are super easy to apply. The hardest part is lining it up, and that's not even that difficult. They don't bubble like the plastic does. A simple firm press in the center adheres it almost completely to the edge. Any bubbles that do appear are way more easily massaged out than on plastic screen protectors.
Light Armour believes in selling tempered glass over plastic, the reason is because you can rub hard on it and it won’t scratch as easily as plastic. Even if scratched it’s super easy and cost less to replace. If it breaks during removal, fear not there will be no glass flying around, the adhesive is made in such a way that it retains all glass fragments just like your original screen glass surface would. Tempered glass is way more stronger and has clarity, no plastic comes close compared to tempered glass.
Physics! With a properly bonded screen protector, you have now got a laminated piece of glass, just like your car's windshield. The outside will absorb most of the impact leaving the inside to only absorb a tiny amount of energy. It spreads the impact out - whatever point that would've cracked the screen, only cracks the tempered glass.
Basically tempered glass will flex and absorb shock from drops and can save you from a broken screen.
This question is tricky.. It really boils down to how you take care of your phone. It can last up to few days to a few years depending on many factors, Do you use it all the time? Do you take extra care for your phone? How do you handle your phone? Do you tend to drop it a lot or Are you clumsy?
I find I am quite clumsy.. so my screen protector is replaced every few months, If I am lucky, half a year.
2.5D is tempered glass that has a curve at the end of the screen but does not fully cover the screen of the phone.
9D is the same as 2.5 but it goes right to the edge of the phone, instead of having spaces.
3D - This screen protector is only made for phones with rounded edges. Samsung models have curved screens, this will most likely be needed.
If you are not sure please do reach out to us and send us what kind of phone you have, we can then help you decide which is best.
